Tokyo International Gift Show

October 13 and 14, 2012

Visiting the Tokyo International Gift Show at Tokyo Big Sight.

As you can see in the picture, it was very crowded with many people.

It was the first large-scale exhibition since the state of emergency was lifted.

I felt that many people, including myself, came from all over the country to visit the show. It was so crowded that I forgot about Covid-19 pandemic.

Now, I would like to talk about my original purpose of visiting the exhibition.

On two days, I was able to talk with a total of 15 companies.

(not collecting catalogs, serious business conversation that I had.)

There were many products with high functionality and sophisticated design.

The booths of kitchenware manufacturers, cosmetics companies, and OEMs were filled with products such as furoshiki-style accessory cases and bags woven with antibacterial fibers, and indoor exercise equipment for remote workers.

Indoor exercise products that can be used while working remotely,

Massage products targeted at housewives and women in their 30s,

Cosmetics for men, Vitamin supplements for skin intake

I will consider this for my future product development.

Thank you very much to all the people from the companies who were so polite and explained the products.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank them.

After seeing this year's Tokyo Gift Show From my personal point of view

I feel that the demand for men's cosmetics will grow explosively in the future.

It started with the Korean fusion boom, and now BTS has become a global idol group.

The time has already come for men to wear make-up in public and use foundation powder to enhance their complexion.

I felt this especially when I visited Tokyo this time.

In China, there have been reports that such feminine movements of men are banned. however In Japan, the trend will not stop.

I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of movement it will be!
